outdoor projects

Since we moved to my parents house and the weather has turned nice we have spent a lot of time working in the backyard. Jon loves to spend ALL saturday in the yard. Here are a few things that we have been working on.

Jon built a new slide for the jungle gym and I painted it.
Jon built the girls a sandbox. They love being able to go out back and have their own sandbox.
We planted a garden this year. We planted beans, carrots, peas, tomatoes, lettuce, squash, basil, and some other things that I can not remember. So far we have kept the ground hog out and things are growing!!!!!!
The girls love to help dad when he is working in the yard.

trip to PA

We went on a little family trip to Pa. We met Casey, Aubrey and Jack. The kids loved to go swimming at the hotel. We spent the first day going through the Amish country and going to a farm. The second day we stopped by Hershey and then headed home.

Brooke was hard at work at Hershey making us all chocolate
Brooke and Mya love their cousin Jack. Poor Jack gets mauled by the girls. The kids were watching cartoons all snuggled in bed waiting for the Dad's to get back from playing golf.

At the farm the kids got to milk a cow, feed a baby cow a bottle and catch chickens. The farm was by far the kids favorite. Thanks Aubrey for finding the farm!!!!!!!!

easter

This year for Easter we decided to give the kids their baskets on saturday. They loved getting their new jammies from Grandma. Mya was especially excited for her new box of bandaids
The kids loved dying eggs

On sunday we had a Easter egg hunt that eggs filled with things about the events leading up to the resurrection. The kids were excited to see what was in each egg. It made Easter Sunday more special for the girls.
