At 5:30 am on Wednesday Jon and I loaded the kids into the car and started our 8 hour drive to Ohio. We were going to pick up Jon's little brother Michael from his mission. We arrived in Ohio around 1:00. The kids were so awesome in the car. There was only one melt down that lasted about 10 minutes, not too bad for being in the car for eight hours. We checked into our hotel in downtown Cleveland and then went to the local zoo. It ended up pooring rain while we were at the zoo. We all got wet but still had a fun time looking at all the animals. On Thursday morning we got up and went to the mission presidents home.
Here is Brooke walking Uncle Elder Michael out to the car. We had practiced for weeks with Brooke to give Uncle Michael a hug and a kiss when she saw him. She was all ready and showed us how she was going to run up and hug him when she saw him, but when it came down to it she was too shy. It did not take long for her to get attached to her uncle. She only wanted Michael to carry her places and did not like it when Michael held mya.

On thursday night the boys went to Cavs game. It was the fifth game of the Eastern conference finals. The cavs against orlando magic. Our hotel was right across from the Cavs arena. Before the game Michael and Jon went to the baptism of a lady that Michael had been teaching. After the baptism they were off to the game. What a way to end your mission!

Happy Birthday Brooke
We asked Brooke what she wanted to do for her birthday and she wanted to go feed the animals
Daddy teaching Brooke how to throw rocks in the Delaware River.
Brooke opening her present from Dad and Mom
We spent 8 hours today driving home from Ohio........another post to follow about our ohio trip. Even though we spent most of her birthday in the car and she was not feeling well, we did get to do a few things that she loves. Daddy taught her how to throw rocks in the delaware river (our lost pit stop before we made it home). Brooke wanted to go to Abma's farm to feed the animals. When we got home she opened the rest of her presents from her grandparents in Idaho. And for her birthday dinner she wanted a frostie and chicken nuggets. We love you Brooke and we can't believe that you are two!!!!!!!!

Mothers day
We had a great mothers day weekend. On Saturday Jon let me open my presents early...........I hate waiting to open presents. He got me a vacuum and a dust buster. Some may say,..........oh. But I LOVE IT. I wanted a new vacuum sooooooo bad. I was so excited that I used my vacuum all morning and vacuumed our whole house. It is so nice to have a vacuum that actually picks up dirt now.
On Sunday I had to speak in church. When I got to church the Bishop asked which bergeson was speaking, I told him I was. Come to find out Jon had called the Bishop to see if he could speak instead of me........how sweet is that. I have the best husband ever.
After church my parents and grandpa came over for lunch. After lunch we opened presents with my mom. My parents got me a toy box for the kids toys and my mom spent countless hours making three matching games for Brooke. Thanks mom Brooke loves her new matching games.
