Macy's parade

We decided at 8 o clock on thanksgiving morning to go into the city to see the parade. On Wednesday night Aubrey and I stayed up cooking...............ok well aubrey cooked and I sat there and watched her cook...but still we had all the stuff done so we went into the city to the parade. The kids loved it. Mya especially loved it. Brooke got cold and wanted to go home but it was fun to go in and see the balloons.




We made back in time to have everything ready to eat by 1 o clock. It was a fun day with family.

Brooke and Mya love the water..........but since it is cold now the best I can do is let them play in the shower with their bathing suits on. They told me that they were having a baby.....this is what I found

vacation to the outer banks

This past week we spent at the outer banks. Most of Jon's family was able to meet us there, except for Adam, Michael, and Andrea. We rented a house that was a few feet from the ocean. It was a week filled with swimming and hanging at the beach.

The girls with their cousin Jack. The girls had a great time playing with all of their cousins. It is fun for us to have Jack live so close. The girls are really going to miss him when they leave next summer.
This is one of our 500 pictures we took on our last day. I really wanted a nice family picture, however the girls were not in the mood. I had to bribe them with cinnamon rolls to get them to take some pictures out on the beach.
This was our earlier in the day attempt at family pictures. I really wonder why I bother.
Jon and I got up one morning to watch the sunrise. It was really pretty.
All of the cousins enjoying an afternoon movie. They were resting up before we headed out to the beach for the afternoon.
Brooke and Halle really hit it off. It was fun to watch them play and interact. It did not take long for them to warm back up to each other.

All in all it was a fun trip and we will be back to the outer banks next year.
