Happy Birthday Jon

Today is Jon's birthday. The kids and I spent the day getting presents and making cupcakes. It was a hard for me to figure out what to buy jon, but eventually I figured out a few things to get him. Dad and Mya enjoying a good book before she goes to bed.

saturday fun

Jon and I have been training for a marathon so yesterday was our 15 mile run. we got up early and finished our run before 9:00 am. We picked the kids up from my parents and decided to do something outside since it was such a nice day. we went to this little place in ridgewood that has a petting zoo and pumpkins. The girls loved to feed the animals and pet them. we had a fun time walking around and looking at the pumpkins. I love the fall. I can't wait to go apple picking and make caramel apples. To go get our pumpkins and carve them. I love that Halloween is just around the corner! I love the fun things that you can do in the fall! the kids and i posing for a quick picture in the pumpkins.

NYC

We had some friends come into town for a few days a couple of weeks ago. We ventured into the city with kids on saturday and had a fun day!us in the middle of time square

trek

Jon and I were a "ma" and "pa" for our stake trek this year. we had an awesome group of kids. we had a great time even though it rained most of the time. the kids had a great attitude and we learned alot from them. We can't wait for our "family" reunion in a couple of months

Annual Lake house trip

We took our annual trip to "aunt" Bonnie's lake house in Pennsylvania. Whit, ty, bonnie and our family drove up on friday night and spent the next day boating and enjoying the outdoors. The kids got us up early so we went out on the dock and went fishing. Once everyone woke up we had breakfast and went out on the boat. Here is Mya being brave on the tube with us. Right after this picture the tube submarined and we all ended up in the lake. Mya was kicking and laughing. Good thing for her life vest.

Happy Birthday Mya

Today my baby girl turned one. I can't believe that a whole year has gone by. We had a little party for her in my parents back yard. She enjoyed her cake!!!

fourth of july

We had a fun fourth of July. We went for a long run/walk in the morning and went to our pool in the afternoon. We had quick BBQ at my parents and then we ventured off to Union City to go and see the Macy fireworks on the Hudson River. We met a bunch of families from our ward and hiked down to the river. Brooke playing games with kids before the fireworks started.

It was awesome to be so close to the water and have the NY skyline as the backdrop for the fireworks. We had a fun day. Happy fourth!
