update..............

So i do not have the patience to put the pictures in chronological order. but this all happened in November and December.

This is the best that I could get of the two of the kids in the same room at the same time. Brooke and mya dressed for Christmas Sunday Mya being adorable and snuggling dad. moments like this make me want another baby.
This is all of the cousins on my side of the family. my mom bought them all polar bear pjs. we went out to Utah just to get this picture.............OK so not really, we went out to Utah for Michael's wedding and to get this picture.

the kids and us before we left them in the hotel with the baby sitters so we could go to Michael and Andrea's reception. it was a formal sit down dinner. it was nice to enjoy a quite meal with out the kids.

On our long weekend in Utah we went to temple square. Brooke was running around like a maniac. she loved seeing all the lights and running with her cousins.

Haley, Jack, and Brooke all stopped for a minute to take a picture and then they were off and running again

I had a birthday. Jon and I went out to dinner and fun night together.

We went into the city for the tree lighting. It was not worth the trip in. But at least we have a picture to prove that we went into the city that night.

Whit waiting to open her mission call. She is going to las vegas spanish speaking. as promised she will be getting a package every month. they will be filled with AWESOME things you just wait sister drussel!

On thanksgiving we had a nice and relaxing day. we went to my parents house. I made the pies and some other things and my mom and whit took care of the rest. The kids and i playing under the table.

Aunt whit-e with the kids eating a snack under the table...........why not

Whit posing with her famous mashed potatoes. and of course sporting mya's head band

Jon is the lucky one that gets to carve the turkey and make the gravy. he makes delicious gravy.
Mya wanted to eat veggies and dip so badly we sat her in the chair and let her eat while we got the rest of the food ready. she was so happy to have her own bowl of dip!
All in all the last month and a half has been a lot of fun. sorry for the random order of things but i guess that is what i get for not being better at updating the blog.

WE DID IT !!!!!!!!!!!

Jon and I ran the Richmond, Va marathon this weekend. We left on friday morning with Whitney, Tyler. It was a LONG car ride with the kids but we made it. When we arrived in Richmond we called a few hotels to try and find one closer to the finish line. we lucked out and got a hotel room that was 2 blocks away from the finish. We picked up our race packages and whit and ty stayed with the kids in the hotel so that jon and i could go carb up at the olive garden.

On saturday morning we got up and got ready for the race. Jon and I left around 7:30 and walked up to the starting line. Whit and Ty stayed in the hotel with the kids and brought them down to watch us at the finishline.

I started out feeling good and running at a good pace. After mile 13 I had some ups and downs but in the end we crossed the finishline together. It was so cool to be able to complete one of my goals in life with Jon. We finished the race in 4 hrs. 15 mins. 33 secs.

Whit and Ty brought the kids down to watch us cross the finish line. It was really awesome to have family come and support us. Thanks whit and ty for coming along and watching our kids.

Thanks mom, dad, whit, and ty for all the weekend baby sitting and late night babysitting so that we could do the race. Without all your help we could not have done it.

Us with the kids right after we finished

nice and gross.......i guess that is what you get for running for 4 hrs.

daddy daughter date

Brooke was so excited to go on her first daddy daughter date. She called Jon on the way home from work and asked him if he wanted to go on a date with her. he of course said yes. She spent the next 30minutes getting ready. she went and picked out a clean new outfit and then we had to do her hair for her date. she is our little girly girly.

for their date brooke wanted to go and get ice cream. they went and got ice cream and then walked around the grocery store and came home with flowers for me. she was so happy to tell me all about her date when she got home.

thanks jon for taking our princess out for a fun night on the town

saturday fun

Jon and I have been training for a marathon so yesterday was our 15 mile run. we got up early and finished our run before 9:00 am. We picked the kids up from my parents and decided to do something outside since it was such a nice day. we went to this little place in ridgewood that has a petting zoo and pumpkins. The girls loved to feed the animals and pet them. we had a fun time walking around and looking at the pumpkins. I love the fall. I can't wait to go apple picking and make caramel apples. To go get our pumpkins and carve them. I love that Halloween is just around the corner! I love the fun things that you can do in the fall! the kids and i posing for a quick picture in the pumpkins.
